I'm looking to go into the fashion design industry. How hard is it?

Carolin Southers: I agree with the first guy (or at the moment, the only guy) that it's definately hard to get into the industry. Even if say, you went to FIT, Parsons, whatever, and worked for designers and/or fashion houses, it still takes years of work to ever become famous. However, maybe you should start by moving to NYC first (if you don't live there already), and then just apply for jobs to every designer you can think of. Eldridge Rieves: It is very hard to get into the industry right away. Most designers go to design schools and then intern at a clothing company. The best schoold are located in New York City.
