Filiberto Ranalli: No. Not to my knowledge. If they did they would have to be marked with an expiration date.
Merlin Fleischhacker: Yes, in a sense, they can dry out.
Hilma Pestano: I don't think leather "expires." It may get brittle and hard if not cared for properly. I think a saddle soap or conditioning cleaner, maybe a special cream of some kind, should be used on good quality leather to keep it supple and clean. I like leather goods, but I stopped buying shoes and purses because I am 95% vegetarian. I don't have any problems with others using or wearing leather, though. I buy faux or fabric, so I don't really know what products to recommend....Show more
