Hong Hunkin: It's just being deliberately obtuse. A corporation as a person is a legal fiction that gives you a framework to deal with it and for it to deal with other entities. Some people dislike that because it allows the fictional "person" to wield influence that no natural person could. Instead of challenging the rights and powers of corporation that are problematic, they attack the very concept of viewing it as a person.
Cody Shimko: It's a way to dehumanize business.Libs paint a picture of huge, faceless, heartless corporations, and thereby demonize business owners. Even if he or she is the ONLY worker, and is working 80 hours a week to keep the business going.
Lita Thammorongsa: Corporations are just groups of people. Just like unions that are actually also corporations. If a union can buy an ad. Support a politician or his policy then why not other corporations. Non-profit corporations have done the same since they were created. The AARP is a Democrat! Party organization.
Giovanna Cramblit: If a corporation kills a thousand people, it just goes bankrupt. If you killed a thousand people, you'd be jailed and likely paying them back for the rest of your life.A limited liability corporation isn't a person, as it can't be held responsible for it's actions.Claiming corporations are people just gives some men an excuse to avoid the repercussions of their actions....Show more
Estrella Northway: "If a corporation kills a thousand people, it just goes bankrupt."A corporation can't kill a thousand people. Only people can do that.
