Maynard Reevers: Every school handles students on financial aid probation differently. I bet the quiz consists of your responsibilities for attending school and accepting financial aid. In our school, students are on financial aid probation because their grades, number of units completed for the year, and their GPA are below are university standard. Also, the federal government gave schools new requirements for students not meeting the academic standards. They are requiring schools to be tougher on students who do not meet those standards by taking away a student's financial aid until they meet the requirements. Your probation is more about your academic standing than your aid. You need to take a look at how you plan to improve and are you willing to do the work required in class. If you're not able to do the work in class, get a tutor. If you're having trouble because the work is above your ability, enroll in a class that prepares you for the work at that level. School's! are not trying to punish you but you schools get graded on how well they manage their financial aid. If you're doing poorly in school and you're a financial aid recipient, and you get academically dismissed, the chances of you being able to repay your student loans is slim to none. The result will be that you don't repay your loans and you default. This is called the school's default rate. The higher the rate, the worse it is. If it gets too high, the school can loose it's ability to participate in federal financial aid programs. So you can see the trickle effect and why schools are anxious to only have students who are willing to succeed. The quiz is not going to be anything you can't handle but you do need to evaluate why you're there so you can put forth 100+ percent going forward....Show more
