Luis Mellon: You could try increasing the servings a little.
Theresia Fashaw: I'd feel hungry too.
Voncile Slaubaugh: I love juicing! Here are some of my fave recipes:1. 1/4 of a pineapple (with the skin ON), 1/4" ginger root, 1 cucumber, 1 apple2. A handful of cabbage leaves, 1 apple, 4 carrots, 1 clove of garlic (it tastes much better than it sounds....the cabbage actually has a sweet flavor when its juiced)3. 4 carrots, 1 stalk of celery, 1 large tomato, 1 clove garlic, 1 handful of parsely4. 1/2 of a cantaloupe (with the rind ON), 1/2 " ginger root5. 1 kiwi, 10-12 strawberries, 1 apple, 1/4 " ginger root6. 4 carrots, 1 beet, 1 apple7. 1/4 of a medium watermelon (with rind ON), 1 kiwi, a handful of strawberries (if you drink soda, you can a splash of Sprite to this)8. 1 large grapefruit (red, white...doesn't matter), 1 apple9. 1 orange, 1 apple, 3 carrots10. 1/4 of a pineapple (skin ON), 3 carrots, 1/4" ginger rootHere are some tips and advice:~Most of the ! fruit and veggies can be placed in the juicer with their skin on. It is actually recommended that you do that, as juicing affords us the opporunity to consume the rich nutrients that are in the rinds and skins that are usually lost when eating them. Just make sure you take the rind off all citrus fruits. Juicers cannot handle it (and it tastes horrible!) You also want to core the apples. ~Keeping the skin on pineapple gives us a great punch of bromine - there are very few edible sources of it in nature. It is a great muscle relaxer. :-)~Garlic is known to lower blood pressure.~Ginger is known to reduce stress and aide digestion.~Beets and cabbage are major ogran cleansers. Don't juice them TOO often. Twice per week is plenty.~The leftover pulp is great for composting and general cooking.....use the leftover apple pulp to sweeten baked treats (as opposed to using sugar!), use the veggie pulp to make meatloaf (or veggie meatloaf!), use the veggie pulp to make broth or as a st! arter for stuffed peppers, use leftover fruit pulp and a bit o! f the fruit juice to make homemade all-natural popsicles or fruity ice cubes in the summer. The possibilities are endless!Good luck! :-D+peace love and light+...Show more
Benita Nancy: Umm... you just don't eat it? Not that hard.. oh yea and it's called meat, some of us don't know how to speak ghetto.
Corrina Faro: You sound pretty healthy! You could add more protein to your breakfast so you get less hungary for snacks and lunch! (mix in some peanut butter, or add some soymilk to the smoothie.) Also vegan food is less filling and takes less time to pass through your body (meat and dairy products go more slowly) so just much some more snacks and be sure to eat lots of protein!
Efren Clankscales: Very easily. I just eat other foods e.g dairy products, fake meats (I eat fake meats because they taste good and easy for my Dad to cook when I go round. And occasionally my Mum will do them too), vegetables, fruits, crisps, vegetarian pasta, vegetarian pizza etc. I! 've been vegetarian since the end of November 2008 and I'm not only still alive, I'm also very healthy. And I'm pleased to hear that you're thinking to be vegetarian yourself. I also don't take supplements, I just have to eat a balanced vegetarian diet....Show more
Rick Duchane: its easy, i dont want to, so i dontits that simple for me, i tend to stick to big decisions once they are made, i have my moments like we all do, but in general its just part of my life
Rick Duchane: By far the most original question of the year.We live without eating meat quite easily. Why do you care?
Madie Strople: People often confuse protein with meat. Yes, meat is rich in protein but its not the only source for protein. Things like legumes, grains, seeds, and nuts are also great sources of protein.edit: Protein deficiency in the USA is very, very rare. The only place you hear about protein deficiencies anymore is among some Africans in Africa. They feed them starving Africans! vegetarian foods too. They feed them things like rice and beans....Sh! ow more
Morris Olexy: me and my girlfriend want to become vegetarian and we'd like to know some pros and cons, as well as some good meals for the 3 meals of the day?
Cliff Jacoby: Quite easily and happilyGet back under your bridge
Chauncey Williama: It sounds like you're eating well, just not eating enough of it. Maybe try to add more of those meals into a day?
Nilda Bafia: Your diet looks completely healthy, but you don't eat alot. You need to eat more often throughout the day. Especially if you are exercising regularly, too! I'd assume that your cycle isn't helping, either.Good luck!
Hipolito Rightmire: i agree with her its really easy and I'm pretty much used to it after a whole year
Mark Villifana: I am 16 and that happens to me ALL THE TIME, I get what you mean. Yeah, since I switched to vegan Ive been eating nonstop. But that's okay, since we both don't eat things that are junky. Don't worry about the calories, just WHAT your eat! ing. I eat twice as much as you do and I weigh 102 pounds.
Rachell Meese: My son's fave is 4 carrots + 2 apples + 1 radish. All are really good for the liver and kidneys. I like it too!
Willis Liburd: I love just plain carrot juice.BUT - I also like to add apple to it for a sweet pick-me-up.Another one that I like is carrot, celery, beets, cilantro, parsley, apple, cucumber. Will admit that if you don't put in much carrot it looks like a green mess with a tinge of red - but it really does taste good....Show more
Morris Cuomo: Cereal or Eggs for breakfast (you two might not want to eat eggs its an opinion)Salad and a Sandwich for lunch. Some fruit and vegetables would also be good at this time. For dinner eat some kind of wheat or maybe fish. (i don't think fish counts as meat)I lost ten pounds while attempting to be a vegetarian over one month, so maybe a dietrician would be a good idea. If you aren't giving your body enough protein and fiber you could los! e weight and begin to feel a loss of energy. This can also mess up your! digestive track if you don't eat enough fiber.Pros- you are saving innocent animalsYour new diet will give you more energy. It will save $ otherwise spent on meatCons-You have less food chooses You have to suffer through people eating meat in front of you sometimes. You run the risk becoming unhealthy if you don't eat protein.
Luis Farlow: M mom just got a juicer, and she makes great juices. But I was wondering if anyone had any ideas that she could use as well. I'd really appreaciate it.
Elvie Drumgoole: The main nutrients that can be lacking in a meat free diet are protein, iron, zinc, and B12. Protein is extremely easy to find, as a quick internet search will prove. The other three nutrients can be obtained through fortified foods or naturally. If you're asking how we resist cravings, I'm not the person to ask. I haven't had a craving for meat in 13 years. I suppose it's because there's just so much tasty vegetarian cuisine. :)...Show more

Stan Conley: Pcrm.org has a great way to get started in 3 easy steps. Just so you know, all animal flesh is meat so is NOT vegetarian.
Hal Rouse: well, cows seem to be able to do a good job of it
Jene Kostyla: I like to juice carrots, apples, and pears. I, too, like to add a bit of ginger to my juices - remember that a little goes a LONG LONG WAY. When I've juiced just carrots, apples or pears, I like to use the pulp as an additive to muffin batter to "up" the fibre content.Other great flavours include passion fruit, pineapple, cucumber and partially frozen grapes. I experiment - if I see an interesting fruit or veg, I give it a try.
Cierra Gadbaw: Simple, I eat other stuff.
Lionel Tanen: I'm vegan, and I do quite fine without meat (a.k.a. animals' flesh), dairy (a.k.a. products from bovine lactations), and eggs (a.k.a. hens' "periods"). Not a problem at al! l. Sometimes I eat a little *too* well.
Billie Bratchett: It dep! ends on what type of juicer she has.My favorite blend is carrot, celery, apple, ginger (go easy on the ginger until you have an idea of how much to add)Beets and apples together make wonderful juice.Cranberry-apple juice is really good, if you can find fresh cranberries. The apples are sweet enough to offset the cranberriesGrapefruit juice and orange juice (if you she has a citrus juicer)I've heard cucumber juice contains lots of good minerals.I don't know if any of these ideas are original enough. My last roommate was really into greens and he used to juice dandelion greens from the farmer's market!!! It's the most bitter juice I've ever tried, but good stuff! He was 50 and looked 35, and he juiced greens every night. He has a different type of juicer than me, which can juice wheatgrass, parsley, spinach, etc...Hopefully these websites will give your mom some new ideas!Good luck!...Show more
Georgia Dees: pineapple berry... if you can put berries in a juicer?
Derrick Kloke: Learn to love tofu & peanut sauce, chop up tofu & veggies pour olive oil into a heated pan then toss in the tofu & veggies simmer and add the peanut sauce. Quick and easy dish
Keven Woodington: Hey, it seems like it would be hard and not that good but that's not true. I thought the way you do before going vegan. Now my eyes have opened up the all the better foods out there that have nothing to do with meat.
Peggy Sandefer: ...........by having a bit of willpower and not eating it?
Jose Bouliouris: Longer and better than those who do eat meat. It's a fact, look it up.
Toya Braskett: Ethically. Healthfully. Environmentally-consciously...
Penelope Armond: OOOOOtry this- its VERY VERY deliciousstrawberry with pineapple and lemonmy dad takes me to this place in L.A where we get the freshest juices and its just so yummyTRY IT ! :Dexperiment with other fruits that you like tooi think ive tried carrot and orange too but it was the stor! e kindi suggest you make a little bit to try first so if you dont like ! it you dont have the chug the whole thing downENJOY...Show more

Serita Hefferon: It's easy. It does take a little reprogramming, and some changes, but I've become a much better cook, fitter, and happier. It's kind of like learning anything new. You have a few "oops" incidents, maybe moments of doubt, but if you can understand the social and humane side, and if you can figure out the nutrition like B12, and if you can learn how to love what you eat it's amazing.Honestly? Melvin Nakama: Ever since i had made the switch from Vegetarian to Vegan i feel hungrier then normal sometimes! Is this because i eat so healthy and my body burns the food up so much quicker? I'm a 15 year old girl.. Or might a be more hungry today because i'm around the time when i should get my period? Like today so far... I woke up made a fruit smoothie containing a ! little orange juice, ice, blackberries, strawberries, a banana, a tsp. of ground flax seeds, and frozen raspberries (around 150-250 cal.?). Then later i had a small snack of 10 wheat thins with some hummus (around 100 cal.). Now for lunch i had a delicious homemade Vegan sandwhich with lettuce, Tofurky, 100% rye bread, and Vegenaise (around 200 cal.) with a small glass of Chocolate Soy Milk (90 cal.). I'm not to hungry now but i know i will be soon! I also exercise regularly. Please and thank you! :)...Show more
Particia Thorton: There's really no cons as such, you just have to make sure you are getting the right combinations of protein as there are certain proteins we have to get through our food. There's an endless variety of meals you can make. Indian cuisine is loaded with vegetarian recipes given that the majority of Hindus do not eat meat, so you might look into that for ideas. I love all the different recipes for dal (lentils) and for chick peas as well as many! others. There's also lots of meatless pasta recipes you can try. Beans ! are also good... there's endless ways to prepare them and they are quite tasty. If you are going to keep eating eggs, then veggie omelts and frittatas are also good options. Veggie pizza is also another good option. There's certainly no shortage of vegetarian recipes out there, so you shouldn't have much of a problem finding satisfying meal ideas.

Mohamed Szollosi: The exact same way you can.
Branden Round: Pros:1. You're helping the environment in many ways. 2. There are health benefits. 3. You! 're helping animals. This website has many good points: http://philipngcc.homestead.com/Cons: 1. People can be rather rude about vegetarianism but if they're truly good people they will understand. There are a lot of great recipes at this site that I love:http://www.vegiehead.com/index.htmlHope all goes well for you and that I helped!
Eva Lichlyter: explain to me how you are eating too much. if I were you and I only ate that I'd still be hungry too. well, at least you are eating unlike other 15 and 16 year old vegans/vegetarians who are not meeting their nutritional needs. Some of them act like they are anorexic or something. The average vegan or vegetarian teenager eats less than 2,000 calories daily. This what some vegetarian asked yesterday on here: ''I ate fruits and veggies all day, so I figured I'd make up a good high protein dinner.Fried tofu in Kraft barbecue sauceBrown riceBaked beansSauteed mushrooms with fresh garlic''...Show more
Ronny Dorge: Very easi! ly indeed. Do you consider it impossible or something? I've been a vege! tarian (now vegan!) for 34 years. My mother has been a vegetarian since about 1941-1942, when it was very rare to be one in the West. Neither of us has died from it as yet.Your move...
Eli Trapeni: I don't even know where to begin answering this question. If you're living purely for the pleasure you get from consuming meat you might want to consider seeing a doctor.
Nikki Sypult: there have been millions of human vegetarians and for thousands of years.
Coleman Ocegueda: You are 15 and growing. It is normal foor you to eat more. At 15 yo shouldn;t be paranoid about claoires. If you eat healthy like what yo have given an example of then yo can eat more. Just stay away from the junk.
